Therapist conducting psychological testing

Having an accurate diagnosis is paramount to being able to pinpoint what is actually going on with a client. Knowing what the issues are allows for an informed treatment plan to be established as well as realistic goals for treatment. Sometimes psychological testing is necessary to gain more information about the problems at hand and how to treat them. Lonestar Psych, PLLC. offers psychological testing for many presenting problems including:

  • ADHD
  • Learning Disability (including Intelligence and Achievement)
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Autism)
  • Personality Disorders
  • Adaptive Functioning
  • Behavioral Problems
  • Social Emotional Development

Our psychodiagnostic team will help clients gain insight into the problems that they may be facing or that their child needs help with. The consultation will begin with a biopsychosocial interview to help gain valuable information about various aspects of the individual. After the initial interview, a specific test battery for the client will be created based on his or her presenting problems and specific testing needs. Testing with minors can often include gaining collateral information from parents and teachers. After all the information is gathered, the data will be interpreted and a detailed report will be written and provided.

Sometimes the MMPI-2 is required for a job, medical, or adoption requirement. If you are needing the take the MMPI-2, or any other personality test, we can administer, score, and interpret that for you. The results will be provided to you in report format.
